Shrimad Rajchandra Hospital in Dharampur

What an amazing two days traveling, assessing village clinics, and the Shrimad Rajchandra Hospital in Dharampur for projectcure.org. I was also honored to meet the guru and spiritual leader of Jainism. Pujya Gurudevshri Rakeshbhai Jhaveri!!

 Villagers lined up for medical exams and the free children clothing I brought with me. The smiles were infectious !

 What an honor to be able to talk to the guru. He had many questions . I was also honored the night before to participate in the ceremony to the 3 gods. I will always cherish this opportunity to serve and grow spiritually! Thanks to you and Chad Mehta

  This is what the villagers wear when it's raining and they are working in the rice fields. They all laughed and invited me to come work with them!!!!

  The National bird was dancing for me. Soooo awesome!!

 What a great opportunity to work together with lions locally èhere in india to serve others. I handed over 600 pairs of children's glasses for the less fortunate. The local doctors and Phx Phil-Am LionsClub lions will make sure they are used well!

Project C.U.R.E. Trip to Nicaragua

Hi everyone!  I am thrilled to report in on my current assessment mission with Project C.U.R.E.  I am in Nicaragua and it has been an amazing week!  The PhilanthroTravel Adventure to Nicaragua has been an opportunity to experience the full cycle of the C.U.R.E. Coffee project in action.

The Coffee Project was created in an effort to improve the lives of the farming communities where they source their coffee beans in partnership with Direct Trade farmers.  When a bag of C.U.R.E. Coffee is purchased, $3 of each purchased bag goes to provide medical relief to the same villages and surrounding communities where the coffee beans for bags of Boca Java's C.U.R.E. Coffee are grown.

My itinerary has been  very exciting and full.  I've met with esteemed Nicaraguan dignitaries to hear first hand about their challenges and to understand their vision for their country.  I have assisted with C.U.R.E. clinic doctors and nurses on the coffee farm as they cared for injured and ill farmers and their families.  I'm picked coffee beans and explored the farm grounds, I can't wait to be part of a celebratory event to thank us for our efforts and my favorite part so far was delivering Project C.U.R.E. care kits to local children.

Press Release from Cuenca, Ecuador

I am thrilled to be featured in a press release from my recent Project C.U.R.E. trip to Cuenca, Ecuador.   I am on the advisory board of directors for Project C.U.R.E. Phoenix and I have been trained and certified as a needs assessment representative for Project C.U.R.E. worldwide.

My missions to date have included Belize, Tanzania, Burkina Faso (West Africa), and now most recently Cuenca, Ecuador.  My job as an assessment representative is to insure the needs of the recipients -hospital and clinics- are met while meeting the requirements of local governments and officials.

As you can imagine the doctors and nurses are very excited by my visit as they hope to receive supplies and equipment that will help them better do their job and save lives.  While in Ecuador I met with several doctors and even the mayor.  The picture attached in this press release is of me around the table at the Hospital Municipal seated next to Dr. Patricio Luzuriago discussing the needs of their communities.

Alcaldía gestionó recursos internacionales para hospital de la Mujer y el Niño

La Alcaldía de Cuenca  gracias a la gestión realizada por la Dirección de Relaciones Externas firmó un protocolo de actuación entre la I. Municipalidad de Cuenca y la ciudad hermana de Tempe a través de la Corporación “Tempe Sister Cities”,  en el cual estas instituciones identificaron áreas de interés común para realizar actividades de cooperación internacional descentralizada. Para el efecto se han definido 5 ejes de trabajo: Salud, Educación, Cultura, Turismo y Manejo de Riesgos.

En este marco, la corporación internacional  a través de la ONG norteamericana  Project C.U.R.E. se comprometió en entregar  una donación  de  400.000 dólares, para el Hospital Municipal de la Mujer y el Niño. Los costos de traslado de insumos y equipos médicos  serán gestionados en un 100% por entidades y personas de Tempe por un valor aproximado de 25.000 dólares.
Para el cumplimiento de este acuerdo  se encuentra en la ciudad Charles Irion, miembro de la Junta Asesora de la ONG norteamericana Project C.U.R.E  para ejecutar una evaluación de las unidades de Salud municipales, en especial el Hospital Municipal de la Mujer y el Niño

La  organización Project C.U.R.E. con sede en Colorado ha sido el líder en el desarrollo de nuevas formas de permitir la organización para proporcionar la mejor calidad de donaciones de insumos y equipos posibles, así como oportunidades de voluntariado tanto nacionales como internacionales.

Project C.U.R.E. ha llegado a los más necesitados médicamente en más de 120 países de todo el mundo. La ONG internacional continúa ofreciendo salud y esperanza a sus asociados en todo el mundo.
